the Last Day of School (viernes, 29 de junio de 2007),

I'm flying tomorrow without my mommy, so I probably won't be able to go online or anything :(

Today was the Last Day of School! We got our yearbooks and I most people to write in it haha. And the only people outside of my year who asked me to sign their books were amy the bballer and cindy! Which is quite a feat, seeing as I don't go around parading my lovability (in school). Haha and I got amos to sign in mine hohoho.

Hang, da eun, dennis and I went out for pizzahut after hahahaa. On our way to this chocolate shop near sheraton we met mr doug! And he bought us drinks and we talked with him and his wife. They are cool beans.
And at the chocolate shop we bought mr doug and meike tubes of eggsssss.
Afterwards we went to meike's house to say goodbye. Ruth came. She gave me her old beatup bag hahahaa. I got the best hug ^^ Then we saw her off into a cab, since the hcm airport is far far away and hot and definitely not as cool as singapore's. It's alot less comfortable than the BUDGET TERMINAL, and you know how munk the budget term already is! Now imagine that without a Han's, bright lights, nice shops and with a funky smell. And a 'flying tax' of fourteen usd. And with inefficient customs lines ><

Oh and a couple of days before this I IMed shonachan! and got her to join the welikechialynn club. She's backpacking across vietnam while I'm overseas hahahahaha. Talk about lousy timing. So I gave her all the addresses of cool places and eating places and taxi directions in viet and useful phrases and stuff. And handy advice on what she might expect here/what she should and shouldn't be doing. Eg don't drink drinks with icecubes in them, and, always check the expiration dates on perishable items, and, goods from markets are AWAYS fake.
One time da eun went into a shop at saigon square and asked the lady if the watches on display were real. She replied, You don't need to know. o_OOOOOO And bear in mind, this is a SHOP, with four walls and air conditioning, not one of the stalls. I repeat, o_OOOOOOO hahahahaha!

I think I lost dennis' cool ed hardy cap :( I'm sure I left it at da eun's, but she checked and it's not there. It costs 128usd hahaha. So today I gave him a hundred and I shall give him the rest in korea AND buy him a cornetto later when school starts, cos his sister gave it to him, and I can't ever truly replace it, but I can try and pacify him with sugar and moolah. Last night I felt soooooooooo bad about it. I NEVER lose stuff! Ever! Why'd it have to be this one time? :(

we the citizens of CHIA LYNN pledge ourselves as one united CHIA LYNN (sábado, 23 de junio de 2007),

Yesterday we watched in the land of women. I personally thought it was nice, but everyone else didn't seem to get how nice it was. And DA EUN DOES NOT LISTEN TO WHAT'S BEING SAID hahahahaha! I think kristen stewart looks a hella lot like ali larter! But younger and therefore cooler. So pretty!

Afterwards we went to fahasa so da eun, dennis and fly could go buy their igcse school prize book thingies. I didn't get one :( Boohoohoo. Haha ah well I didn't exactly work very hard anyway!
Anyways. Dennis and I were hanging around the harrypotter shelf talking about deathly hallows, and suddenly this guy started talking to us. o_O And I talked back! His name is Peter, he's twenty and he's from the US of A. And after he left us da eun and fly came back and I was helping them all choose cheap classics to give the officers. And I pretty much chose books about 'hos hahahaha. I made dennis buy the scarlet letter instead of kidnapped! because kidnapped! is a n00bish book and I never liked it. Even back when I was a little kid I thought it was SO. BORING. And this middleaged american guy we didn't know suddenly said something like, Yeah, the scarlet letter's better. Hahahahahah!!! And I made da eun get some other book about a 'ho, the title of which I cannot recall at this hour.

And later da eun and I met stephanie and we slept over at da eun's house. And for once I did not sleep at four in the morning :)

And today we met hang at city diner for hotdogs (yay!) and she gave me my long overdue present :) A cool tie! Now if only I had some collared shirts. And if only I wouldn't end up looking like a guy or a mat or a butch or the lead vox from mcr if I wore one.

Look!

aye, I gots me hook when me war-brig sunk (jueves, 21 de junio de 2007),

I had the strangest and most omen-like dream last night. Out of three. About a very strict and regimented ppcoc.
I can't remember what happened before, but I had gone to church in the middle of a sermon, and all the youth were somehow crammed in the last three rows la. So I went to the last row and sat in the middle with charmaine tan. And then suddenly someone whispered something like, they're coming! Remember the rule of threes (like from planescape o_O)! And apparently, this rule of threes refers to the fact that only three people may sit on each pew at a time, so there was a furious scurry of movement as we all scrambled to space ourselves out. Then three of these agent smith from the matrix-esque men (complete with black shades) came swaggering up the side of the hall with keys a-jangling. Surprisingly the sermon wasn't disrupted, and no nosy adult turned to glance at us and see if we were cheekily making pitfarts or something. Le gasp!
I'm not bitter, I swear!

A mere 9 days before I return to the land of stifled freedom! The land where public transport is fast and, in around six months, will start to get alot more expensive for me. (the loss of my eligibility for a student concession pass): The land where locals are valued less than foreigners. The land whose sand has to be imported from indonesia, whose drinking water is obtained from malaysia (and more recently, our toilets), whose land is reclaimed from the sea itself. Truly we are a powerful, giving nation.

Note to education: Boy, haogongming and social studies really helped me love my country, right? You should totally subject our future generations to the same kind of torturous propaganda programmes.
Note to the Man: If free speech was what you were trying to quell, maybe allowing us access to the World Wide Web wasn't such a good idea.

Karen says I'm such a radical now, but I'm not, I swear! I just... disagree with a couple of things. ><

AC/DC (domingo, 17 de junio de 2007),

Look look look!

AC/DC should be DC's official band. Because!

AC/DC = that band
Ac/DC = altador cup/darigan citadel!

Eh, eh?

I'm so totally proud of that hahahahaha. Peepz on the board are like, good one! and thus my ego is sated for now.
DC ALL THE WAY. I don't think we'll win this year's ALtador Cup, but we'll be in the top 3. Hopefully they'll be giving top 3 trophies instead of only second and first like last year.
Haha I'm so mercenary though. I played wholly for darigan last year, until the final final match, where I estimated the number of players for haunted woods to be higher than that of darigan citadel, and switched sides accordingly so I'd get the pretty trophy. >< And then I forgot to PLAY the match and got the rubbishy spectator trophy >:(
And this year I chose Darigan Citadel not only because they're my favouritest team ever, but also since I predicted lots of people would join DC because it looked coolass and got second for last year.

My official dates of travel:

saigon to singapore, 30th june
singapore to seoul, 7th july
seoul to singapore, 15th july
singapore to saigon, 14th august

Haha right before my second IGCSE math paper I wrote smellanie a short letter and sent it to singapore by post, as gratitude for the three letters she wrote but didn't send when I left for 'Nam. Melissa says she received it! :D

Both my siblings are graduating from uni this year, and I had to choose one ceremony to attend cos I'm trying not to miss too much ib :( So I chose to go for my brother's, since my mum says we shall see the niagara falls in winter while we're there. Ah wells, any reason to feel snow on my face again :)

I DO NOT LIKE CNA ANYMORE. OR THE PAP (not that I ever really did ><). They are so biased towards our ruling party, it's almost pathetic. (and let us hope no defamation-suing official reads this)
And gohchoktong threatened some constituency in the past with no upgrading for YEARS after all the other responsible PAP-voting constituencies in one of his speeches! I understand their 'reward supporters' thing, but upgrading opposition flats years after pap ones is punishment. And it was so transparent it might as well not be veiled. I used to think he was a nice man :( But apparently joining the men in white dissolves your previous white-less beliefs and values (as two other mps whom I shall not name out of caution *cough* vivian* demonstrate). Ah well, the high pay makes it all worth while.
Did you know our three pms earn alot more per month each than bush earns annually? o_O And you wonder why we have all sorts of monetary hikes.
I can't be bothered to read through all of the retired gaylegoh's blog looking for the entries and the proof :(

I shall see you all later (hopefully not when I'm behind bars/bankrupt from expensive lawsuits).

in the city of blinding lights (jueves, 14 de junio de 2007),

OH MAN the razr2 looks SO PRETTY poihwngaaa!!!!111 I think I'm DROOLING. Like, my mouth feels wetter o_O Haha and it isn't even out yet. It'll be released in july. :(

And harry potter and the deathly hallows is being released in july as well! Yay! I shall totally borrow from someone teehee.

So, pre-summer is passing with barely any real excitement. I stay up till three or four and wake up at twelve. Lovely. Ah well. Singapore will be good! I'll be sleeping over with the retardssweetards! And taking part in guitar-related activities with nick! Yayness.

see you around chenting hahahahahhh

hey babe, what's your sign? (sábado, 9 de junio de 2007),

Senior formal was yesterday! And I was SO PRETTY me tells you. I wore a curtainny dress and heely shoes and EVERYTHING. Ms bee was like, OMGGG CHIA LYNN o_O in utter shock and disbelief (which says alot about how good I look in school u ><). Pictures when I receive them.
the buffet was sosossosososooo good.
We went to lush after and had drinks with arief the MUSLIM haha. (hopefully no overzealous bombahs chance upon this) Some gay dude groped his chest with a lewd grin when he went to look for meike and charlotte hahahahaha.

I moved house today! To a more spacious apartment in bp compound. I kissed my old bed goodbye and greeted my new ones. Yes, oneS. I have two big beds in my room haha! One could speculate one's for my sister if she visits.

Things to do over the summer:
celebrate arief's birthday (13th)
celebrate dennis' birthday (24th?)
collect my specs and stuff from da eun's house
watch shrek the third/potc3 if they come (alternatively just watch in singapore/korea
say byebye to hang
say byebye to meike
have bandprac one last time
convince someone to go singapore with me so i don't have to fly alone
eat red noodles!

0606067 (jueves, 7 de junio de 2007),

Hello! 'Twas my birthday yesterday.Da eun and I treated everyone to pizza hut's pirated cousin, Pizza INN hahaha. Quite reasonable la I guess. Around 600 000dong each for six huge pizzas which people couldn't finish. I ate five whole slices of pepperoni hoho.

Then a couple of us went to gloria jean's for drinks and sweet fly went out and came back with a teeeeeny cake (could've been a cupcake without the er cup)and a whole bunch of tiny candles. We all had fun trying to light them without razing gloria jean's to the ground.

Then we stopped by saigon tax centre and suyeon got some drinks. And we cabbed back to da eun's for sleeping over purposes and spent the night playing drinking games, doing 'stretches' and 'exercises', watching casanova, hiding from her funny drunk dad, and giggling at her funny drunk dad. And playing some korean taupok as well (where you make a kimbap or something and someone rolls everyone off the bed).
I don't see what all the excitement about bailey's stems from. It isn't all that good what! In fact, it gets a little too much after awhile. The sweetness of the cream masks the alcohol only until you swallow, which is when it reveals itself with malicious glee. You have to let it brew in your mouth for a couple of seconds before swallowing if you don't want a bitter nailpolish aftertaste.
I preferred the malibu coke.

We slept at around six. The end.

Oh yesterday was also the day churchcamp kicked off :) I don't think I'll be able to go for next year's and next next year's either; the whole school excluding us and the ib kids have eoys THIS WEEK haha! So now we're all like, yesss.
But it really is too bad about camp. Michelley went though and I made her promise to take lots of pictures and tell me about it :)
And when I get back to singapore we're going to watch my cough first rated movie and eat cornadoes and Hang Out.
