"i don't have time for tv anymore" (jueves, 6 de diciembre de 2007),
So.
I was just on friendster, sitting through my monthly look-through. And there was this girl from rgs who looked at me. Under her Favourite TV Shows blank:
"i dont have time for tv anymore"
AWWWWWWWWW that's so sad!!!! POOR THINGGGGG
Thus,

And then I couldn't help thinking, it gets worse in rj. And it does. Karen goes back to school during the holidays. During the academic year, she stays around there till 9pm.
The moral of this story is, Carren, let us hope you get into acsib so you have time to hang out and partake in frivolous activities ><
We got our English IOP practice results today! I got 24/30, yayness. Though I guess that's not so bad, considering charlotte got a very undeserved 12. Even felix and louise did better! Which is really saying something, seeing as louise's presentation consisted of 5 slides, 2 of which were her title and a picture. We could alllllllll tell she didn't do jackshit preparation hahah
Anyway back to charlotte's. She rated alooooot better. You could tell she spent a heck of a lot of time on her IOP! Just, her presentation file was busted, so she had to do talk us through the book.
I spent a mere five hours on mine hahahaah! Like I remember productively looking through sparknotes and google and wikipedia and the handmaid's tale and filling slides up pretty fast. My question was something like,
How has religion, particularly the Old Testament of the Bible, influenced Gileadean society? In what ways has Gilead borrowed ideas and themes from it? Yes, nice and long, I know. She asked us to be specific with our questions haha. This topic was particularly well-suited to me though, seeing as I must be the only christian in English A1 HL class. And I have a bible.
The presentation itself was pretty fun! I got arief to look over it right before, and help me change a word or a phrase on a slide or two. Then I appointed him my official slide-changer, and I talked alooooot and made a couple humourous comments to keep everyone listening. Though I was abit too informal with everyone for an IOP I guess. I think using the bible gave me quite an advantage! Lots of my classmates have never heard of any of those moses/bilhah/whomever stories, so they were markedly attentive.
Ruth says she actually listened to my whoooooole presentation! :)))) And even arief and charlotte said it was good. I AM VERY PROUD.
I LOVE PUBLIC SPEAKING it is a craving I indulge as often as I can. I get such a rush, it's fantastic!
Da eun and I have this thing nowadays where during lunch we peek from behind the azn blue sofas and stare at certain people until they either look away or we find someone new. It's really funny though! We were watching charlotte for awhile before she snapped and got freaaaaked out and bellowed at us to stop. We watched khanhche till left the room. We then made him our top target, so whenever he was in the common room we would fix our collective gazes on him, until he finally flashed his tush at us hahahaha. His ass is wayyyyy too white! SHUDDER. We watched katrina till she came over and was like, WHAT? And then she started asking seolye if 'ni yao kan wo de nainai ma?' cos she wasn't wearing a proper bra. Haha seolye and I were like WTF o_O since we were the only ones that close who understood chinese.
Oh today she did something explicitly strange! Before I left for lunch she was like, chia lynn can you give something to dennis? Then she kissed me on the cheek. Now I know I am muy inexperienced at the whole relationship field, but asking another GIRL to kiss your BOYFRIEND probably isn't very smart, even if the kiss is supposed to be from you.
Dennis has a nice butt. Hahahah
