when life gives you lemons, suck on them. (martes, 3 de febrero de 2009),
My extended essay's due tomorrow and I'm a whooooole lot of words short. I'd be glad if I got >E, actually. I wasn't planning on cashing in on my full 3 points :/
Aaaanyway. I got a desk! In my room! And my mum finally let me move the 2nd bed out! :)))
On Saturday, I went to Michelle's CNY open house thing. I saw Geraldine, but we didn't really talk. I got the impression she was staying away, actually :( think she still assumes that I sniff glue and party all night -_- Who knows what else you people think I do in the religious No Man's Land of 'Nam? Just so we're clear: I don't smoke. I only drink on special occasions. My maidenhood remains unspoilt, and I intend to keep it that way until I get married. I would go to church, except the commies are being mean and wanting bribes and significantly prolonging what should have been a month-long hiatus for my church to get legal certification (yes, you need that in 'Nam). I pray before I go to sleep (and I don't fall asleep while doing so, either), and before important stuff, and after important stuff whether I succeed or fail. The worse cussword I've used in a long time is 'shit', and I'm working on completely stopping again. My friends know that they can't force me into anything, and they don't try because they're my friends. I don't plan on getting a tattoo unless I know for sure that that 'no tattoos' leveticus verse in the bible no longer applies. So please,
please stop thinking I'm some kind of loose, worldly girl.
Let's get back on topic, shall we? Then Chris, Marcus and I went to funan to find them a modem sans router, and I ended up buying a windows copy of Fallout 3 hahahaha. And a funny thing happened. I found this comic shop, and in their bargain bin, I saw one of the comics I was going to buy at that stupid, overpriced bugis comic book place priced at $19!!!!!! The bugis place was going to charge me at least $25, I'm sure of it. But I didn't buy it anyway, partly 'cause I couldn't remember if I'd bought it already, but mostly 'cause I have enough Golden Age material. What I need now is Bronze Age books, because my Bronze Age section is pretty much devoid of any images. And
everyone knows pictures are integral to an art extended essay.
We went to the yangs' abode after that, and I helped them install Fallout 3 onto their computers so that they could play too :) And then I tried it out a bit on Chris' new hugeeee laptop. It's the perfect thing to watch movies on, I swear ahaha. Anyway. What stood out the most in Fallout 3 was the drab colour. Everything's grey, or mud-brown, or black, or rust-coloured. And I mean EVERYTHING. The brightest colour I've seen so far is the yellow and blue of my vault suit. -_- But yeah I'm holding off installing it onto my macbook until I get parallels set up and the majority of my high-priority deadlines are out of the way.
Now that the economy sucks and I'm poor(er), my parents are requesting that I apply to a whole host of cheaper state unis :( DAMNED ART SCHOOLS AND THEIR EXPENSIVE FEES! Ah well, state is better than nothing, I guess. When life gives you lemons, suck on them.
