library@esplanade jingle! (viernes, 23 de julio de 2010),
I WON THE VINGLE COMPETITIONNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!! When I met JingYing, Felicia, Rachel and Sara that one night, and had them listen to my Juicer video, JY put me up to this competition that she was a part of. Basically you have to submit a 10-20 second jingle for the library@esplanade. And I came up with this:
library@esplanade
all about the performing arts
tranquil place for reference and
listen to your favourite band.
books on film and music scores,
screnplays, scripts -- but wait, there's more!
dance notations, magazines,
so much crap that it's
obscene.
And I almost didn't submit it! By the time I got all the info and had finished it, it was 2 days before it needed to be given in, and I was busy both days with Karen's sleepover and Adrian's birthday barbeque. And I read the terms and conditions more carefully and realised that they didn't allow cursing in the lyrics. And in order to hand it in, I was supposed to burn it onto a disk and give it along with an indemnity form to someone at the library.
Instead, I emailed JY listing all these problems and attached the mp3. She promptly had them waive all the other requirements; all I needed to do was give her the indemnity form whenever I saw her.
Today they called me up as I was leaving Rachel's NTU Final Year Project exhibition with Adrian and told me I won!!!!!!!! When I got home, I gave the other pass to Grace because she LOVES Singfest and she brought me to the NDP last year and might bring me to the preview this year :) And I'm giving Chair and Eddy the passes for the 3rd day :)
In order to attend Singfest, which lasts from 3rd to 5th Aug, I had to change my Tiger Air booking to 'Nam from 28th to 8th aug to 27th to 2nd :/ But it's whatever. $60 does not compare to even one $348 3 day pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
